Knowsley Surfacing takes health and safety requirements seriously, all of our teams have at least one first aider present at all times – we actively encourage new staff to attend first aid courses. Training is provided for all employees for either new or refresher courses or to attend checks.

CHAS

CHAS is a health & safety scheme that’s well known and respected in the industry – it’s the largest scheme of its kind and has the support of Health & Safety Executive and (IOSH) Institute of occupational Safety & Health.

CSCS cards

Construction Skills certification scheme. Our work teams carry these – proving that they have received the relevant training and qualifications for the type of work they are carrying out. A valid CSCS card is required by most contractors and major house builders for each employee.

City & Guilds

Each team work holds a minimum of C&G Level 2. Knowsley Surfacing actively encourages each employee to develop their skills helping them progress in their job/career.

Enhanced DBS checks

The Disclosure & Barring service helps employees make safer recruitment decisions and prevent un-suitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. Knowsley Surfacing carries out a DBS check on each new employee before they start working with us, making us the safe choice of contractor for your school, college, university or care home
